About this speaker

Clint Martin has been in the collegiate performance setting for more than a decade. Having stints at Iowa State, Nevada, and ultimately Texas.


Martin joined The University of Texas in April 2016. Serving as Associate Head Coach of Athletic Performance, he oversees Men's and Women's Track and Field, Men's Swimming, and Women's Golf. He has been a part of 4 NCAA championships (3 in Men's Swimming, 1 in Men's Track & Field). Martin has been the primary performance coach to more than a dozen Olympic medalists in track and swimming and numerous professional athletes from other disciplines.


 In 2015-2016, he headed up strength and conditioning for the University of Nevada men’s basketball team, under first-year head coach Eric Musselman. He was also head of strength and conditioning for the men's and women's tennis teams.


Martin came to Nevada from his alma mater, Iowa State, where he was formerly an athlete in the Track and Field program. There, he worked as the graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the men’s basketball and swimming and diving teams. 


 After college he started ACE Athletics which focused on developing speed and power athletes while training in NFL free agency.  Martin also trained Olympic hopefuls in wrestling, swimming and track & field.
